SLiCE is Hiring for 2011-12 Academic Year
SLiCE is currently searching for undergraduate student staff members to join our team. Student staff members work with SLiCE’s career staff to coordinate and implement leadership development, involvement, and volunteer opportunities for the CSU campus and community. Each student staff member would contribute to being a part of the overall SLiCE team.
Brief job descriptions can be found in the online application.  All available positions begin on August 15, 2011. Interested applicants should fill out the online application and return electronically to Meagan Goulian.
Applications will be accepted until the positions arefilled; however, for full consideration, completed applications must be returned on or before 12p.m., Friday, January 21, 2011. Interviews will be conducted January 24-27, 2011. For questions regarding the application, please contact Meagan Goulian in the SLiCE office at 970.491.1682 or via email.

Support Services Available
SLiCE offers our registered student organizations many resources to help them run an effective organization.  Downloadable documents are available online to make every step of the process easier for you.
The Student Organization Suite and Resource Room are also available to all members of student organizations free of charge.  The Suite includes computer work stations, private office space, open lounge area, storage units, and a small conference room.  Across the hall from the Suite is the Resource Room, which also holds computer works stations, as well as printers, photo-copiers, art supplies, and other items needed to host events and activities.  Visit the website to get more information or start utilizing resources today!



President’s Leadership Program
Applications Available for 2011-12 Academic Year

In a global society where problems and solutions cross disciplines and borders, there is a critical need for effective leaders.  The President's Leadership Program (PLP) develops tomorrow's leaders through a series of academic courses and experiential learning activities that equip them with the knowledge, skills, and commitment to make positive change.

PLP is a three year, fourteen credit leadership development experience.  Each year of the program is an independent experience and students can choose to participate in one or more years.  Applications are available today!

Did you take the challenge and try on a new lifestyle for 30 days?  All participants are invited to a free lunch courtesy of the SLiCE office to bring everyone together to talk about their experiences with the program.
All those interested should email Jen Johnson to RSVP and plan to meet at the SLiCE office TODAY, Fri., Dec. 10 at 12pm to go as a group to Spoons.

The Alternative Break program is an immersion experience into different cultural, environmental and socioeconomic communities across the nation.  Visit our blog to see what participants have said about the program.
Twelve CSU students are getting ready to travel to Samburu, Kenya for their winter Alternative Break trip.  Students will work with several organizations, such as a local women's cooperative, schools, and a wildlife research organization.
