Campus Step Up: A Social Justice Retreat
You are invited to participate in Campus Step Up: a Social Justice Retreat (formerly known as the MultiCultural Leadership Retreat), to be held from January 15 -17, 2009 at Colorado State University and an off-site location (to be determined). We are looking for faculty, staff, and students to join us in this year's experience.
Campus Step-Up is an opportunity for students to expand their awareness on issues of diversity and cross-cultural communication. The retreat enables participants to spend time in a safe environment focusing on self-reflection, education, and personal growth regarding their perceptions of social justice, multicultural, and global issues. Campus Step Up’s ultimate goal is to give students the skills to act on the issues and causes that they are most passionate about.
Applications will be available on October 1, 2008.
Comments from past retreat participants
I came into the retreat with few expectations. I was blown away. I hope to use the knowledge to become a better person in life.
I really enjoyed the retreat. I think the facilitators did an awesome job of creating a safe environment for people to be open and honest about their experiences and opinions.
I learned so much about myself and others I have more respect for the world around me.
