Mike Ellis, LSC Executive Director

Mike Ellis, LSC Executive DirectorMike Ellis originally hails from southern California where he attended the University of California, Irvine. After receiving his MA degree in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of Maryland at College Park and his first professional experience in the college union, Mike relocated west to assume responsibilities as the Director of the Union at Weber State University. During part of his eight year tenure at Weber State, Mike attended the University of Utah and received his Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership, with a concentration in higher education. Mike and his wife, Maria, have three children, Ryan, Joanie, and Jeffrey. Favorite hobbies include camping, fishing and supporting his children's many sporting and artistic endeavors.

Robert Peters, Director of Business Services

Robert Peters, Director of Business Services, has been at CSU since 1997. With over 24 years of management experience in auxiliary services in higher education, he enjoys the daily operational challenges of a vibrant student center. Married with three sons, he enjoys his "down-time" with his family skiing, sailing, and rejuvenating classic Mustang cars.

Karen McCormick, Budgets and Special Projects Coordinator

Karen McCormick has been involved in budgets and special projects in the Lory Student Center for over 25 years.  Her special project work has included being part of the Transit Center renovation team, the LSC 40th Anniversary, and flood recovery of the Lory Student Center.  She also coordinates a comprehensive budget process for the LSC consisting of approximately $24 million.  Karen is a member of the Lory Student Center Governing Board as a staff representative and values her work with and on behalf of students.  Karen is married and both her husband and daughter are longtime employees of CSU as well.

Kathy Krell, Administrative Assistant

Kathy is originally from Lafayette, Indiana, and moved to Fort Collins in 1998. She has a B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University and a B.A. in Technical Journalism from Colorado State University. In addition to taking classes part-time, Kathy also enjoys counted cross-stitch and reading.
