SLiCE has extended the deadline for accepting applications for the Praxis program through the end of the spring semester. Praxis is a program that provides resources to students interested in implementing ongoing projects in the community centered on positive change and social action. Project leaders must be students at CSU and their respective projects must benefit the community as a new program or a major improvement to an existing program. Examples of existing Praxis programs include Boys and Girls Club Youth Mentoring, Community Literacy Project, TGIF, and GED Graduation Ceremony.
Praxis is a three-semester commitment and requires that all project leaders schedule a one-hour training with the Praxis coordinator to go over the process. Approved projects receive financial resources, ongoing training, and support throughout the three-semester commitment. Projects are typically awarded between $500 and $1000, but funding up to $2000 is possible. Applications can be found online and addition questions should be directed to Brett Rundle.
